Last Thursday, Mark finally made his long-postponed trip up to Sheffield. As it turned out, he couldn’t have picked a better night: Thursday was the night of SCAF’s Spectator T Sheffield “gallery crawl”. We headed off and visited a selection of the city’s more cutting-edge galleries, studios and exhibition spaces between 6 and 9pm, consuming an assortment of cheap and free drinks on the way. Know Wayne is in India but guess the rest around, I (or rather cfk has) been cracking on with exhibitions, and another opens (well first part opened yesterday) in Transition, 110a Lauriston Road this Friday 18th from 7-9pm, second part of the Voddyball Chocannihilisation performance…Hope can make it

But otherwise tonight Thursday 17th going to the following in this order (don’t think too ambitious).
1) Ritu Sood (somebody I know quite well) at Unit 2 Gallery (at Metropolitan Uni, opposite the Whitchapel Art Gallery, which incidently Thursday eve is the only free day for the Paul McCarthy Show, 6-9pm, so worth seeing that sometime but def go to his off-site installation on Chesire St, top of Brick Lane), but maybe not tonight as…
2) All these are around Shoreditch - pv’s at Kate MacGarry / Vertigo / ADI Space on Rivington Place, down road opposite comedy cafe - all should have free booze. I will be up there but may also pop to
3) Modern Art Inc, Vyner St (though may give this a miss as after the above)
4) Art opening around the corner at the CLOWN MUSEUM AND ARCHIVE, All Saints Centre, Haggerston Road, 6-9pm launch of comic called Donkeyhead, this place off Hackney Road in middle of an estate has got to be seen to be believed, Frank E. may make an appearance. Going to try to get there just before 9.
