First Thursdays - Late Night Gallery Openings on the First Thursday of every month

First Thursdays highlights for Thursday 7 June include;

* Artists give away their work for free in Hoxton Square. Art for Nothing! is a chance to give or receive art as part of an open performance at the Hoxton Square Gallery, N1, between 6 - 9pm.

* First UK show of legendary American photographer Alex Soth in his show Niagara at Host Gallery.

* Last chance to see British photographer Martin Parr's exhibition A8 + Parking Spaces at Rocket Gallery.

Free poetry at the Whitechapel with Trinidadian poet and musician Anthony Joseph reading from his genre-busting novel The African Origins of UFOs and artist Scroobius Pip tells offbeat, hip-hop inflected stories at the Whitechapel, 7pm.

* Special curator led-tour of New Blood show of the new crop of Magmum photographers with Sophie Wright, Head of Exhibitions and Print Room at Magnum Photos, 7pm.

* Chill out with live jazz from the award-winning Jim Hart at the Museum of London from 6pm, or glam it up on the quayside with the sexy stiltwalkers at the Museum of Docklands then relax with live World music in the bar from 6pm.

* Live performance art at V22 Gallery from 7pm and Weibke Morgan Gallery from 7.30pm.

* Artist's talks from contemporary London, Lausanne and Geneva based artists at Fieldgate Gallery from 7pm.
