INTERNSHIPS AT ELEVATOR GALLERY- 2009

Elevator will be offering several new Internships at the Gallery Beginning in January 2009.
Gallery Assistant Internship (Three Months- renewable- days hours to be agreed)
An excellent opportunity to gain work experience in all areas of running a gallery. We have several positions available for this post.

Duties Include:
Installing Exhibitions
Assistant Curating and Managing
Marketing
Developing our new Education Programme
Invigilating
Helping at Openings and special events such as Kino Club, Performance nights & education events (Usually Evenings)

Requirements: We especially would like to hear from current Art Students based in London with good written and spoken English. A good understanding of contemporary art is essential. Computer skills, Photo Shop, Word and Web Design knowledge is very desirable. Previous gallery experience is not necessary.

Art Publishing Internship (Three Months- renewable- days hours to be agreed).

Elevator Gallery will be publishing an Art & Culture Zine in 2009. We require Assistants who have an excellent knowledge of desktop publishing, word and photo shop. A high level of English is required.

Duties Include:

Graphic Design
Lay Out
Proofing
Picture Research
Researching source material
Printing
Distribution
Advertising
