Liu Hong Yuan’s second exhibition will be presented by Schoeni Art Gallery in Hong Kong. Liu’s paintings present the ancient figures wearing traditional costumes while performing Beijing opera. The vivid depictions could be traced back to her family background in which her grandmother is a connoisseur of the Chinese opera. The fading memories of the family scenes could be seen from the face where Liu represents the figures with sorrow and decay. The splendid costumes and the grieved face shows a beautifully sadness.
