Lost and Found, an exhibition by independent curator and writer Jiyoon Lee.
Thursday 08.01.2009, 18.30 - 20.30
In Lost and Found, Lee examines how the lost elements of traditional art and aesthetics have been re-discovered and re-applied by Korean contemporary artists, the impact of these on artistic practice, and the way these re-discovered elements are presented to an increasingly international audience.
Artists include Han Keryoon, Hong Young In, Jeon Kyung, Lee Lee Nam, Lee Gil Woo and Yee Sookyung.
An essay by Jiyoon Lee will accompany the exhibition and a lecture by Lee will be held at The Courtauld Institute of Art in the Kenneth Clarke lecture theatre in March 2009.
