Glaceau Gallery is located at glaceau popup in the heart of Harajuku, on the top floor of a spectacular building near Omotesando & Meiji Dori crossing. The space is open Tuesday to Sunday, 1:00 pm -6:00 pm (last entry at 5:30 pm, closed on Mondays).

The first exhibition is figurative artist Shigure Akagi’s Prototype series. Akagi has won many awards for his work; original sculptures employing traditional Japanese doll-making techniques. The latest series features life-sized futuristic cyborgs.

This Saturday afternoon there will be a gathering in the gallery and party space to celebrate the recent release of Patrick W. Galbraith’s new book, “The Otaku Encyclopedia: An Insiders Guide to the Subculture of Cool Japan.” Both artist and author will be in attendance.
