100 pictures at £100 an art diffusion line by Lorna May Wadsworth

Cult favourite Lorna May Wadsworth releases an exclusive online collection of 100 original pictures to the public for only 100 pounds each.

Lorna May Wadsworth, whose paintings have been commissioned by the world’s wealthiest, sought after by the most influential, and posed for by the most famous, releases an exclusive series of artwork as a ‘diffusion line’ that plays on her major pieces – a collection of 100 original pictures to the public for only 100 pounds each.

Lorna’s considerable talent, combined with her coveted reputation of painting high profile sitters such as Lady Thatcher, model Lily Cole, Sir Derek Jacobi, and filmmaker Richard Curtis, has made her a cult phenomenon amongst London’s art elite. Particularly loved by fashionistas, her work has been featured in the international press including British Vogue, Vogue Italia, BBC One Prime Time, Stylist, The Guardian, and The Times.

#100for100 is a series of one-off original hand made works. Lorna developed the concept as an alternative to the well-trodden path of using limited edition prints to bring work to a wider audience, The series plays on and gives insight into her larger paintings. The 100 pieces showcase her multi-disciplinary technique, using painting, mixed media, sketching, and even spray stencils to riff on figurative, fashion, film, and landscape themes.

#100for100 will be offered to art enthusiasts all over the world via an online exhibition. All works are available on a first come first served basis, making the series an intimate experiment in collecting & connoisseurship.

“Not only is it exciting for me as an artist to create a more ‘pop ‘version of my aesthetic – #100for100 also allows me to remove the barrier of money from the equation as the collector is relieved from the burden of gallery pricing tiers and is empowered to simply fall in love with a piece of art ” – Lorna May Wadsworth

100 Pictures, 100 Pounds will be unveiled to the public Today Thursday November 15th 2012
