Steve Powers- a famed graffiti artist known as ESPO, was born and raised in Philadelphia, and had his first museum solo show in Pennsylvania. In 1994 he moved to New York City. Originally hailing from Philadelphia he became one of the most up names in New York, invented turning
shutters into massive letters, was one third of the seminal ‘Street Market’ show, and now does things like install coin operated water boarding torture attractions at Coney Island amusement park.
