The Jewish Museum will present The Hanukkah Project: The Sound of Light by Julianne Swartz from December 21, 2008 through March 15, 2009. Presented biennially, The Hanukkah Project celebrates Hanukkah with works of art by leading contemporary artists. Get ready to see the Guggenheim in a whole new way. In January 2008, a cast and crew of over 150 people assembled at the Guggenheim Museum in New York for the filming of an action thriller entitled The International. On Monday, December 1, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., MoMA will host a film program of David Bowie’s music videos, co-organized by Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth and Barbara London, Associate Curator, Department of Media, The Museum of Modern Art. The event will take place in The Roy and Niuta Titus 1 Theater, as part of the Modern Monday series, which presents works by contemporary filmmakers and multimedia artists.
